Feedback that fits you

Personomist goes beyond the self-assessments typical in psychological testing by giving you more accurate and well-rounded feedback from different perspectives. The simplest feedback uses your self-description — your Identity. If you invite at least two other people to describe you, you’ll see each feedback category from three perspectives:

Completing assessments again over at least three months, you will get all results in multiple time points and can explore your changes.

Your Big Five — Your Way (included in the free package)

Psychologists often summarise personality with the Big Five domains:

Although useful summaries, these broad domains contain many distinct traits. Two people can score equally in Conscientiousness for completely different reasons: one because they’re driven, methodical, and confident; another because they value order, careful planning, and self-discipline.

Real people rarely fit neatly into simple boxes. Most of us have traits that push a domain score higher and traits that pull it lower. This is why the generic feedback offered by many other tools only partly hits the mark and tends to confuse people.

Our feedback goes beyond the overall Big Five scores. We show which specific traits contribute to the highs and lows in each domain, creating a Big Five profile that is uniquely yours.

A balance of Brighter Sides and Darker Shades

Nobody has only strengths or only weaknesses. We each have a mix of traits — some considered desirable, others less so. Knowing both sides provides a fuller picture of who you are.

Personomist predicts your Brighter Sides (the traits that tend to work in your favour) as well as your Darker Shades (traits often considered less desirable).

It can be tempting to focus on your best side and avoid facing your more difficult traits. But also learning about these less flattering aspects is often the key to making sense of your experiences and making wiser choices to make your life fit your personality.

Keep in mind that even Darker Shades can be strengths in certain contexts – many leaders, for example, succeed in part because of traits that aren’t universally admired.

In the end, you control your feedback. You can skip your Darker Shades and view only your Brighter Sides – and, if you ever feel ready, you can always come back to explore both.

Jobs for your personality (included in the free package)

Combining your information with data from nearly 60,000 people holding hundreds of jobs, we predict which jobs tend to have people most similar to your psychological traits and which specific traits make you most similar to these jobs.

You may discover jobs that correspond to your personality profile but that you have not thought of yet.

Hobbies you might enjoy

Using data from nearly 2,000 people, we predict which leisure activities tend to be pursued by people similar to you and which specific traits make you most similar to them.

This may offer you new spare time ideas you have not considered yet — or confirm ideas that have already crossed your mind.

Roles you may find yourself in

We all recognise certain “types” of people in different parts of life — those familiar, archetypal roles that shape how we contribute and connect.

Personomist has profiled dozens of these archetypal roles, like Leaders and Team Builders at work, or Protectors and Counsellors at home. We compare your psychological traits to the profiles of people who typically thrive in each one, so you can see which roles you’re more likely to take on—whether at work, in your family, or in your wider community.

Your age at heart

Are you more mature than most people your age — or more youthful?

Our research with thousands of people shows that most people's personalities align closely with their chronological age. However, some people are psychologically younger — or older — than their age would suggest. Personomist uses a pre-trained algorithm to estimate your psychological age and show where you likely fall on the youthful–mature spectrum.

Are you a born leader?

Personomist compares your personality profile to those of people typically in management and leadership roles. You’ll see how similar you are overall, which traits make you more like a manager, and which ones set you apart.

Your emotional well-being

Personality traits can offer strong clues about your mental well-being. Drawing on research with tens of thousands of people, Personomist estimates your resilience in three key areas:

Your job interests

Occupational counsellors often describe people’s vocational interests along six RIASEC dimensions:

Personomist can also estimate your level on each of these dimensions, offering insights into which kinds of jobs may fit your interests, besides your personality more broadly.
